Summer's Gone

Ok, its a fairly obvious shot of the sea from a beach on the west coast of Scotland but its quite pretty I think. That's probably why I initially posted it but something else keeps drawing me back. For me, it's a sad image. Wistful and possibly melancholic. I dont know exactly why, it certainly wasn't a sad moment, it was a beautiful walk on a gorgeous day, beachcombing with my wife and son. Perhaps its the cinema in my head, picturing a character pensively staring into the watery abyss looking for answers. In this case though, I'm seeing the colour gradient from top to bottom, brilliantly executed by the Perpetua filter, a chirpy Summer Blue to a somber Autumnal Brown. And now with September upon us, its time to embrace the annual farewell to the joy that was Summer. Crikey, a psychologist would have a field day. Here's some great tunes.
